My Brother’s Kindness: (Put the subject, object, or possessive pronoun in the right place)
I have a very special relationship with ____ brother Brian. He is really good to me and always helps me out. We used to fight when we were little, but now we have grown out of that stage and are good friends. _____ sense of humor and kindness always comes out, even when he should be mad at _____. Last year he helped me out in a few tough situations.
In September I took a midnight flight from New York to Minnesota, but when I got to the airport I realized I had arrived one day too late! I called up my brother at one in the morning, and asked him to look up new airline tickets for me. He was pretty groggy at first, but then ____ woke up and searched for flights without even asking any questions. His sense of humor was apparently more awake than he was, because he told me that the only flights left for three more days cost one thousand dollars. After he heard ____shocked reaction, he stopped joking and found a flight for me to go home. He did all this without letting our parents know what had happened. ____ didn’t want them to think I was irresponsible.
My brother’s positive attitude also showed up in when____drove me home from New York. He flew out to New York to help drive me home in a rented mini-van filled with my suitcases and books. When he showed up to New York I had to tell ____ that I had lost my driver’s license when I left my wallet in a cab. He wasn’t very happy at all, since I was not allowed to drive a rented car without my license. There was no way around it, he had to drive more than one thousand miles all by himself. He was mad at me, but he didn’t say anything about it. I bought ____all his meals and lots of Dr. Pepper to keep him awake during the long drive. I was lucky to have such a great brother in that situation.
In addition to helping me out in situations that are my fault, my brother really listens to____in general. Last year was difficult to adjust to being back home. I had a new job and had to find a new place to live. He called me to check in all the time and helped me find ____ new house. When I found the house, he loaded all of ____things into the van again. If he hadn’t called me all the time and listened to my problems, I know the year would have been much harder.
I don’t know what I would do without my brother’s sense of humor, love, and support.
